COPPER miner Kazakhmys saw almost 7% wiped off its stock market value today as investors took flight fol-lowing reports that the Kazakhstan government is about to impose a sting-ing metal export duty.

Kazakhmys fell 114p to 1606p, closely followed by fellow Kazakh miner and possible buyer Eurasian Natural Resources (ENR), down 62p at 1210p.
