Summary
Surely it is irrelevant how much money Damien Hirst makes in this time of economic gloom. All that should be of importance is the art itself. Hirst's work is purchased by trophy collectors with too much money, not art connoisseurs. The bottom line is, however hard he tries to emulate Andy Warhol, Mr Hirst will never be liked, have the mystique, or be as iconic.
