SOUNDTRACK albums can be wonderful things that retain their lustre long after the hype surrounding their movies has disappeared. But this is not such an album. Rather than being a well-curated collection of evocative songs, this is the original score to a new martial-arts thriller starring Jet Li.
Many of these 21 tracks contain the sensitively textured percussion effects and ambient, moody string and piano sounds that are Massive Attack's trademark. But there's no hook, no chorus - nothing to pull all these, admittedly lovely, noises together.See the full content of this document
