A NEW row over Commons expenses erupted today with charges that one MP "dishonestly" exploited a loophole.
Tory John Wilkinson claimed Pounds 14,595 last year from a second homes allowance. He owned a house in his Ruislip-Northwood constituency and a flat on the Isle of Man. But by saying the flat was his main home, he became eligible for expenses to cover mortgage interest on his London property. The MP insisted he had always kept his primary residence outside London.
