Cookery skills 'lost on children'
HALF of Britain's children do not know how to use a vegetable peeler, a survey of eight to 15-year-olds for the British Heart Foundation revealed today. Just 43 per cent could boil an egg but two thirds understood ready meals and 82 per cent could use a microwave. A BHF spokeswoman said: "We are rearing a generation whose cooking skills stretch only as far as popping a fatty, processed ready meal in the microwave."See the full content of this document
