KEN LIVINGSTONE could be in line for a pay rise of almost 7,000 under plans to link his salary to the increase paid to town hall workers.

The Mayor is pressing for his wages currently 137,579 a year to increase at the same rate as all local government staff in England, including those at City Hall.
