IT says much about Lewis Hamilton's singular impact on Formula One that his French Grand Prix third place felt like a bit of a swizz. For the first time in his transcendent career he wasn't perfect, making the tiny mistake in qualifying that cost him pole, and another in starting the race slowly enough to allow eventual winner Kimi Raikkonen to zip past.
