DAVID CAMERON signalled yet another break with the Tories' past today by appointing a lesbian as a vice-chairman of the party.
Millionaire businesswoman Margot James, who became the first openly gay woman Tory to stand for Parliament when she fought Holborn and St Pancras in May, was named vice-chairman with responsibility for women's issues. Ms James was appointed among a quartet of vice-chairmen that also had a strong emphasis on youth and ethnic minorities. She joins rising stars Grant Shapps, 37, Justine Greening, 36, and Sayeeda Warsi, 34, who was formerly a race relations adviser to Michael Howard.See the full content of this document
