Summary


LORD Falconer today waded into the debate over the Government's anti-terror strategy by warning his Cabinet colleagues not to "debase British values" by relying on new laws to defeat the extremist threat.

In a speech in London, the Lord Chancellor said that winning the hearts and minds of the Muslim community, rather than tough legislation, would be the key to combating terrorism.
