PALMERSTON North's Awapuni Landfill will be open free of charge from today until Sunday for the disposal of green waste and clean fill.

Council waste and water manager Chris Pepper said a number of people had spent the weekend cleaning up their sections, and had considerable amounts of greenery to be dumped.
