LADBROKES boss Chris Bell today confirmed he will be bidding for the licence to build and run Britain's first Las Vegas-style casino in Manchester, to be known as The Palace of Light, but he vehemently rejected the idea that Ladbrokes needs a US partner to pull it off.
Unveiling record pre-tax profits for 2006, Bell said: "We know how to run these things as well as we do. You have to know your own market inside out, which we do, and we see no reason whatsoever to take an American gaming partner."See the full content of this document
