US FOOD giant Kraft was today expected to announce it has bought McVitie's and Jaffa Cakes maker United Biscuits' southern European arm for about Pounds 575 million.
The acquisition gives Kraft a commanding position in Europe where United Biscuits (UB) is a major player. In Spain, UB owns seven of the top 10 selling biscuit brands and it commands nearly 40% of the Portuguese market.See the full content of this document
