THE leader of Lambeth council today told how he saw heroin addict Pete Doherty emerge from a plane lavatory with a leather belt tied round his arm and a patch of blood on his skin.

Steve Reed said the Babyshambles singer, who was with an entourage of seven, then loosened the tourniquet as he walked past a group of children on a school trip to Spain. Doherty was later arrested but was not charged.
