BBC STAR Alan Davies has taken a 25 per cent pay cut for a one- off Jonathan Creek episode.
Davies, 43, who plays the title role in the mystery drama, told more than 80,000 followers on his Twitter page about the reduction today after signing up for an Easter special. He posted: "Just had a 25% pay cut on Jonathan Creek. The BBC are 'driving down talent costs'!" Davies, who is a regular panellist on quiz show QI, revealed in an online conversation with a journalist that he was worried about the production of the show adding: "The design budget has been cut by more than half." He suggested the BBC should focus on "driving down" the cost of executives instead.See the full content of this document
