DAVID BECKHAM was unveiled as the star of a new film about the "highs and lows" of playing for Real Madrid at the Cannes Film Festival today.

The England captain is to star alongside team-mates Zidane, Ronaldo and Raul in a new docudrama Real: The Movie. The film, which will premiere in Spain later this year, follows the lives of fictional fans in New York, Caracas, Japan, Madrid and Senegal.
