Irish Make Final Bid to Move Showpiece

Summary


LONDON IRISH and Gloucester will today launch a last-ditch attempt to get their European Challenge Cup Final on 21 May switched from the Twickenham Stoop to a bigger stadium.

Both clubs have been dumfounded by the choice of venue by ERC, the cup organisers, as it can only hold 12,500. The two finalists claim they could each sell that number of tickets on their own.
