RELATIONS between the News of the World and David Cameron's team have gone from bad to worse. There are already rumours that Rupert Murdoch has asked editor Colin Myler (right) to turn up the heat on the Tory leader. Now the Conservatives have run into more trouble after they briefed some of the NotW's rivals about Cameron's plans for a tax on plane flights. The paper got wind of this on Saturday afternoon and caused mischief by telling all and sundry they had an exclusive about the green tax plan. Cue panic at Tory HQ, which sent an urgent email to Lobby reporters around 7.30pm, claiming that the next day's NotW was going to run a "completely false" story. None of this went down well with Myler's paper, which published its report and an anti-Cameron editorial.
