EasyJet and FlyBe blame late Easter for passenger slowdown PASSENGER growth at easyJet and FlyBe stalled last month, although the airlines blamed it all on Easter. Days after Ryanair reported 17% growth and British Airways posted a 15% rise in business class passengers, easyJet and FlyBe both said passenger figures grew just 7%, down on recent statistics from both carriers.
EasyJet also blamed the later Easter - it fell in March last year - for a sharp fall in load factor, down almost five percentage points at 86.3%. The airline said it carried 2.7 million passengers in March and a total of 30.9 million over the last 12 months.See the full content of this document
