A HUNGER striker at the centre of one of Britain's longest- running protests was today accused of secretly tucking into McDonald's meals during the rally.

Parameswaran Subramaniyan decided to fast for 24 days after finding out five of his relatives, including his mother, had died in Sri Lankan civil war. From 7 April he lay in a tent in Parliament Square as Tamil supporters protested about the plight of civilians in the country.
