TODAY is officially the warmest 27 October since records began - smashing the previous high by nearly one degree.

A top temperature of 21.2C was recorded - more than 70F - as Britain enjoys one of the latest Indian summers in more than 100 years. The previous 20.3C record was measured in London in 1888.
