BEN AFFLECK missed the London premiere of his new film Jersey Girl after being taken to hospital with severe bronchitis. The actor was so ill it was feared he had contracted meningitis. Affleck was to have gone to the party after the screening of the movie at Mayfair's Curzon Cinema. His co-stars, ex-girlfriend Jennifer Lopez and Liv Tyler, also failed to attend.

Director Kevin Smith and child star Raquel Castro were present.
