THREE wards remain closed and under isolation at Horowhenua Hospital as staff and patients battle a serious tummy bug, thought to be caused by the Noro virus.

Visitors are banned from wards one, two and four, to stop the infection spreading into the community, said MidCentral Health spokesman Scott Crowley.
