Summary
ABOUT three weeks ago, wishing to offer help to someone whose home had been damaged or destroyed in the floods, I put an advertisement in two local papers. I was told that because of PC and discrimination laws, it was not possible to mention flood victims or to suggest that the accommodation offered was suitable for a retired couple (this last because my home is not in Palmerston North or Feilding). It is hardly surprising that no answers to my advertisement have been received.
