Marc Price takes a Pounds 45 zombie film to Cannes (debut of the living dead)
Ispent last week in Cannes at the Film Festival with my film Colin, which was made on an old camcorder and cost about Pounds 45 (spent on Mini DV tapes and a crowbar). Colin is a zombie horror film but, unlike the fantastic George A Romero movies, Night of the Living Dead, Dawn of the Dead, and Day of the Dead, which inspired me, Colin is told from the perspective of a zombie coming to terms with what has happened to him. Like him, I'm just coming to terms with what happened to me at the festival. Contrary to all my expectations, people were interested in my film: Japanese distributors wanted to watch it; journalists wanted to talk to me about it; no one stormed out of the screening (which is apparently a regular occurrence).See the full content of this document
