Summary


SIR Alec Issigonis, left - designer of the Mini and Morris Minor - arrived in London as a refugee from Turkey in 1923 and spent the next 11 years living here, leaving in 1934 when he found work in the Midlands.

During these years he studied at Battersea Polytechnic. Now, author Jonathan Wood is trying to track down anyone who remembers him or his mother, Hulda, being resident in the capital, for a new book he is writing.
