You can tell that Marie-Chantal, or Princess Pavlos of Greece as she prefers to be called, is her father's daughter. Get her going on the subject of her children's clothing line (called Marie-Chantal) and she begins to sound just like Robert Miller, the billionaire cofounder of the Hong Kong-based Duty Free Shoppers. The perfect highlights, the manicured feet and hands, the diamonds on the ears and dotted around the watch face all recede into the background. In their place emerges an American businesswoman who can talk management-speak, with 'casual wear price points diffusion lines' all mingling unstoppably in her conversation.

She must know her stuff Marie-Chantal is in profit now, exactly three years after being incorporated in New York. 'That's just where we should be,' says Marie-Chantal, at 35, the most business-minded of the three Miller sisters and the one who is clearly being groomed to follow in Daddy's footsteps. 'I've started attending board meetings with him,' she says. 'In the meantime, I'm trying to earn my stripes.' We meet at Marie-Chantal's large house in West London which she shares with Pavlos, 36, the exiled Crown Prince of Greece and her husband of nine years, and their three children, Maria Olympia, aged seven, Constantine (Tino for short, whose name is also the company logo), aged five, and Achileas, three.
