RADICAL cleric Abu Hamza threatened to attack a prison officer after his beard was searched in a routine security check.

The hook-handed Muslim militant, who is serving a seven-year sentence for race-hate crimes, flew into a rage and launched himself at the guard at Belmarsh prison in southeast London. An insider said: "He was spitting with anger when his beard was checked and said it was an insult to his religion.
