ALAN CURBISHLEY'S troubled start to life at the Upton Park helm received a boost on Saturday when his WEST HAM side cruised past League One Brighton 3-0.

The new Hammers boss rung the changes and was rewarded with two incoming players getting on the scoresheet. Mark Noble, who came through the academy ranks, opened the scoring with a neat volley and Carlton Cole made it two just before the hour.
