WEST London, the most affluent corner of the capital, has been partially eclipsed by the energetic development scene that is transforming eastern areas of the city, towards Docklands and beyond. There are fewer large-scale regeneration opportunities in west London for developers to sink their teeth into and, with property values already high, builders struggle to find sites that appeal to first-time buyers.
