ARSENAL today confirmed for the first time they are in talks with Chelsea over the possible sale of Ashley Cole and described the negotiations as "very civil" despite last year's tapping-up row, writes Raoul Simons.

The Gunners were furious when they learned of a secret meeting between their left-back and Blues officials in January 2005, which broke Premier League rules. Chelsea, their head coach Jose Mourinho and Cole were all fined by the league as result.
