THErebuilding of East London was handed a double dose of good news today as a deal was unveiled to start work on 10,000 new homes in the Pounds 5 billion Greenwich Peninsula revamp, and office take- up and new building work in nearby Canary Wharf were said to be speeding ahead.
Housebuilder Bellway has won the contract from site owner Meridian Delta - a venture between property firms Quintain Estates and Lend Lease - to build the first 229 riverside flats on wasteland around the Dome, in the largest urban regeneration project under way in London.See the full content of this document
