THE merger of Britain's two largest football pools companies got the thumbs-up today from the Competition Commission.
It provisionally cleared Ladbrokes' sale of Vernons to Sportech, which already owns Littlewoods and Zetters, in a deal likely to be worth around 50 million. Final clearance is expected in mid- October.See the full content of this document
