madness WHEN was the last time that significant football matches took place on a Monday evening? Now, we are bombarded with FA Cup replays that no one wants because they have other things to do, like tend the allotment or go to the local off licence to stock up on cheap beer. I tried quite hard to watch Sky's coverage last night of Manchester United playing whoever but every time I clicked the remote, there were scenes of advertising of cars gone haywire, or inducements to watch Stenhousemuir at home to the Orkney Islands in the Scottish Cup.
