Summary


IN just a few months I fear I am going to do something that I have resisted - indeed, fought against - all my life. It goes against every instinct I possess. In June, I will be voting for Steve Norris as Mayor of London and, as such, I will be voting Tory.

I can hardly believe I am writing these words. I am a lifelong Labour supporter, and a long-term supporter of Ken Livingstone. I think the congestion charge is excellent, but in seeking to extend it to Kensington and Chelsea he has taken a step too far.
