MICHAEL GAMBON is to star in Alan Bennett's new play when it opens in the autumn, the National Theatre announced.

Gambon, 68, will appear alongside Alex Jennings and Frances de la Tour in The Habit Of Art, Bennett's first play since the hugely successful The History Boys in 2004.
