Summary
MASSEY University must be applauded for its initiative and leadership in tackling the transport issues facing the city (Manawatu Standard September 9).
It's a bold, forward-thinking and, above all, sensible move to charge for car parking while at the same time dramatically enhancing facilities for public transport. As a Massey staff member I'm also aware of a draft transportation strategy, which is much more far- reaching than this, taking in all sustainable modes of transport, including walking and cycling.See the full content of this document
