SHARES in Gaz de France, the world's biggest flotation for three years, were expected to fizz to a quick premium when trading begins today, reinforcing the "business as normal" message from Europe's markets.
London bookmaker Cantor Index was quoting shares in the e20.3 billion (Pounds 13.9 billion) utility at between e26.75 and e27.25 today. French Finance Minister Thierry Breton, uncowed by the London terror attacks, yesterday priced the shares at e23.40, close to the top of the target range. The institutional offer, amounting to half the 22% stake for sale in the partprivatisation, was 27 times subscribed and the retail offer was doubly subscribed by 3.1 million French investors.See the full content of this document
