HEALTH experts today backed recommendations by the Government's food watchdog that folic acid should be added to bread to cut the number of babies born with spina bifida.
The Food Standards Agency will advise that the vitamin be added at the milling stage - believed to be the first time manufacturers will be ordered to add nutrients to improve the nation's health and wellbeing since the Second World War.See the full content of this document
