FIVE comprehensives in London and the South-East are among the first wave to sign up to Tony Blair's controversial "trust schools" policy.
The Prime Minister announced the names of the first 50 schools wanting trust status and independence from local authority control. He made the announcement at Quintin Kynaston School in St John's Wood, one of the two London comprehensives, alongside Abbs Cross School and Arts College in Hornchurch, that will be in the first wave.See the full content of this document
