ANTI-POLLUTION filters being fitted to black cabs have actually increased toxic emissions by up to 1,000 per cent.
Mayor Ken Livingstone ordered 16,000 taxis to be fitted with the filters - at Pounds 2,000 a time and paid for with a 20p fare rise - to improve London's air quality. But all four types of filter made emissions of dangerous gases worse, independent tests showed.See the full content of this document
