FIGHTSTAR, the group fronted by former Busted heartthrob Charlie Simpson, has been nominated for best British band at the Kerrang! rock awards.

Rivals for the title are Muse, who bagged five nominations, and Lostprophets, Bullet For My Valentine, Hundred Reasons and Funeral For A Friend. Devon-trio Muse are up for best live band, single, album, British band and video at the ceremony in London on 24 August.
