ED JOYCE has been urged to hang around with his old Irish mates for hours on end this Friday and play the long innings which will shatter their dreams of securing another sensational World Cup victory. The Dubliner is bound to be the centre of attention when he opens the batting in Guyana during England's first Super Eight match.
The 28-year-old left-hander was hugely influential while Ireland were qualifying for the World Cup in 2005, averaging just short of 100 in five matches.
