Summary
PARKING fines in London could soar under plans being discussed today.
Penalties could leap from Pounds 100 to Pounds 120 in the city centre, from Pounds 80 to Pounds 100 in outer London and from Pounds 60 to Pounds 80 for offences in council car parks. Drivers could also be punished for traffic offences according to the severity of their offence. The proposals are being considered by the Association of London Government, which represents London's 33 boroughs, and Transport for London, which controls parking and bus lanes on main roads.See the full content of this document
