I HAVE to thank 'James in Sweden' for giving me the news that I had been selected for the Lions tour. I have no idea who James is or where he got my mobile number from, but it was very nice of him to take the trouble to watch the announcement yesterday and pass on the good news to me as I enjoyed a post-training massage at London Wasps.

The rest of the Wasps squad watched the live broadcast at our training base and having doubts about my chances of going on the tour -- remember I have missed out or been dropped from almost every major tournament and tour in my time -- I decided the best course of action was to let the good/bad news filter through to the physio room.
