JUSTIN ROSE missed a magical 59 by one shot as he fluffed a 14- foot birdie putt (right) at the final hole to card an incredible 12- underpar 60 in the first round of the Funai Classic at Walt Disney World, Florida.

The 26-year-old Englishman, enjoying huge success in the US but still seeking a first PGA tour win, smashed the course record and finished four shots clear of the field.
