AUSTRALIAN OPEN tennis champion Marat Safin was a dejected casualty in the third round of the Pacific Life Open in Indian Wells.
After losing 7-5, 6-4 to American Taylor Dent, the Russian (left) said: "It was the worst match I have played probably in my career. Just no matter what I would do, it just would not go my way.
