MUCH has been read into Debo, Duchess of Devonshire's close relationship with President Kennedy, following publication of her late sister's private correspondence, Decca, the Letters of Jessica Mitford. In particular, Decca writes to her husband Bob Treuhaft in 1964 that Debo dined with JFK five nights running shortly before his death in 1963, that she went to Palm Beach with him and did a good imitation of him saying: "I go Presidential, you go Commercial."
She adds that Debo hardly knew Jackie. But Debo's husband, the Duke of Devonshire, certainly knew Jack Kennedy well they were brothersinlaw. The Duke's older brother Billy Hartington was married to the President's sister Kathleen.See the full content of this document
