FOOD SPY SOMETHING strange has happened to muesli. It has quietly slipped from being an obscure health-food breakfast cereal into the foodie mainstream. The process started when Dr Max Bircher-Benner created Bircher-muesli for his Swiss clinic. The good doctor soaked rolled oats overnight and then added freshly chopped fruit.
This combo was a great success, no doubt due to the fact that it didn't taste quite as dull as all the other patent breakfast cereals vying to fill us with fibre and good intentions each day.See the full content of this document
