PRINCE Charles appeared to have read Michael Crichton's thriller Prey, when he expressed fears last year that the world might be reduced to a mess of "grey goo" by out-of-control nanotechnology. But His Royal Highness won't like Crichton's new novel, State of Fear. It's a thoroughly researched attack on ecological activists, specifically those engaged in raising fears of global warming.
