A PAIR of big mobile cranes spent hours on tortuous North Range Road yesterday waving long streamers of chicken wire and pretending to be wind turbines.

Airways Corporation has lodged concern under the resource consent process for the Te Rere Hau wind farm, and says the development must not interfere with air traffic control radar and cause hazard to aircraft.
